Verdict of the Week

England World Cup Rugby Try

Under RFU Rules it clearly states that if any part of the body comes into contact with any part pf the touch line, it shall be called out or dead. It is with deep regret that eCourt has been presented with pictorial evidence that shows that there was a small part of Mark Cueto's foot that did encroach onto the edge of the touch line.

The eCourt verdict, therefore, has to be that it was not a try under the RFU rules. The eCourt verdict on the England Rugby team's performance, however, was that we salute them all for their courage, dignity and sportsmanship throughout the Championship. It was undoubtedly, one of the bravest and most spirited defences of a World Cup title in sporting history.
